Jenny Brillhart

Biography

Using common elements from her environments, Jenny Brillhart creates work concerned with the construction, process and design of medium, light, color, value and form. Brillhart graduated with a BA from Smith College and received an MFA in from the New York Academy of Art. Most recently Brillhart had a solo show at Kuckei + Kuckei in Berlin, Germany and a two person exhibition at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA). Past projects include, an outdoor architectural intervention, titled Flat Prospects installed at The History Museum, solo shows with Emerson Dorsch in Miami, and was included in the renowned show and published book, Room Service, organized by Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden Museum in Germany. Brillhart also participated in exhibitions with Locust Projects, Miami; the Sammlung SØR Rusche Museum in Germany; the PAMM, Miami; the Naples Museum of Art, Naples, FL; Dimensions Variable in Miami; the Anhaltinischen Gemäldegalerie Museum in Dessau; Roemerapotheke Gallery in Zurich; The Art Gallery at Government Center in Miami, and ArtCenter/South Florida in Miami Beach. Her work has been published in Ocean Drive, The McKinsey Quarterly, New American Paintings, Art New England and Miami Contemporary Artists.
